What a Founding Member is
A Founding Member is a company that sits in the first cohort of classified organisations and publicly endorses the principles in our manifest. Founding status is permanent — once granted, it does not expire as long as the company maintains an active classification.
Why companies become Founding Members
- Credibility: a distinct Founding Member badge alongside the classification badge.
- Influence: direct input on scoring criteria, roadmap, and governance before they are finalised for the wider market.
- Visibility: prominent placement in the public directory and in launch communications.
- Community: access to a private channel with the other Founding Members to share switch stories, vendor evaluations, and practical lessons.
- Reduced fees on the Extended Scan during the founding phase.
What we ask of you
Complete the Extended Scan.
Full assessment across all six sovereignty domains, self-verified with supporting notes.
Endorse the manifest publicly.
A one-line statement we can display alongside your listing.
Display the badge.
Embed the dynamic badge on your website, linking back to your public profile.
Engage with feedback.
Respond to periodic questions about how the scan, classification, and community can be improved.
Update annually.
Refresh your answers once a year — honest downgrades included.
No minimum classification.
You don't need to land at E4. Honest E2 or E3 movement matters more than a vanity score.
Slots are limited for the founding cohort. We are deliberately keeping the first group small so the conversation stays dense and the feedback loops are tight.
How to join
There is no self-signup yet for Founding Members. Email us with a short note about your company and why you'd like to join the founding cohort — we'll reply within a few working days.
Or email info@eucompany.org directly.
